As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I don’t think you need to be in therapy for forever. I do think that there are seasons where we all need extra support, perspective and a guide to help us navigate through what feels unfamiliar, scary and overwhelming.

How Do You Apply The Things You Learned In Therapy Into Your Life?

Going to therapy is kind of like gardening. When you first begin, there’s a desire to want something different. You’re tired of looking at what could be a thriving garden but instead it’s currently a hot mess all overgrown with weeds and junk. You’ve been too busy to notice it before and now that it’s become an eyesore, you recognize the need and desire, within you, for something different.

Next we have to clear away all of the overgrowth, de-weed and lay down new soil. Then you’re going to need some specific tools to ensure that the seeds and flowers you’re planting will flourish in their new habit. You lay down new soil, new mulch and you feel so proud of the work you’ve done in taking your hot mess of a garden bed into a flourishing, beautiful, and welcoming garden.

Just like gardening, we have to tend to our minds, hearts and body through strategies of self care, identifying destructive behavior patterns and engaging in healthy rituals that lead to emotionally healthy and safe relationships to ourselves and others.

You’ve done the big overhaul but now you recognize the need for daily, weekly, monthly maintenance but you’re not quite sure where to start or what to do. How do you prune these types of roses? What kind of fertilizer do you use? Are you over-watering or under-watering?

Frequently Asked Questions About Group Coaching

  • We’ll start in May and finish up in August. :)

    We’ll meet 2x a month for 2 hours. You’ll get access to trainings, homework and exercises in between + a community forum where I’ll be answering questions on our “off” weeks.

  • I know, I know. Group work is scary and it is amazing. It can be both! You won’t be pressured into speaking or sharing if you don’t want to. I will say, though, to get the most out of your experience, be willing to show up with your camera on, be vulnerable as you feel safe and to engage in the homework and course materials. I want this to be helpful for you!

  • Life is wild and some seasons may just not work. I get that. If you’re not able to commit to showing up 2x a month for 2 hours from May-August then this just might not be the best program for you, right now. We’re here to support you so perhaps a pre-recorded workshop or getting in to a 1-1 intensive might be best.

  • We will meet 2 times a month for about 2 hours each time. These sessions will be recorded but we ask that you commit to not missing more than 1 session for the sake of the group and for you to feel successful in this.

  • SO glad you asked! You’ll get a workbook to accompany our time together that will be updated in real time so you’ll get the latest research and cutting edge techniques. You’ll also get 1, 45min session with me throughout the 4 month experience to dive a bit deeper into a particular topic. You’ll also be invited into a private community where you’ll be able to access all of the videos, course content, ask questions and engage with others. I’ll be hopping in there on our “off weeks” to field questions and help you in your journey.
